The Western International Junior Hockey League (WIJHL) is proud to announce an affiliation agreement for the 2026/2027 Season with Alberta’s Riggers Hockey Academy (RHA).
This affiliation agreement is a great opportunity for both the WIJHL and RHA. It provides the WIJHL and its member teams with the ability to liaise with RHA Hockey Staff and players to develop players and afford opportunities to be called up to participate and be exposed to the Junior Hockey environment. Those players will gain valuable junior experience, additional ice time, and exposure in a highly competitive environment.
This partnership is among multiple others, which span Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, adding to the availability of depth and creating developmental opportunities within the independent hockey eco-system.
