The Chase Heat of the Western International Junior Hockey League (WIJHL) are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our organization as Assistant Coach & Assistant General Manager. This is an opportunity to play an important role in the development of young hockey players while helping build a successful, community-focused junior hockey program.
Working closely with the Head Coach and General Manager, the successful candidate will assist with player recruitment, scouting, evaluations, practices, game preparation and team operations. The Assistant GM responsibilities will include assisting with player contacts and transactions, recruitment, community relations, sponsorship initiatives and other administrative duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have strong hockey knowledge, leadership , statistical analysis and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to player development and community hockey. Previous coaching, scouting or junior hockey experience is an asset, but the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to contribute to the Chase Heat and the Chase community are equally important.
